The cottage sleeps four in two double rooms, but there is scope to be flexible. Please do contact us.
The Cottage has been through many changes in its long history. It started as the main farm house. Parts of the building have been dated to the fifteen hundreds. It was decided in the early Victorian period to build a new house next door. The old farm became an agricultural building with stables and a cider store. The renovation completed in 2011 has returned the building to its former glory, with added touches of 21st century luxury.
The Sitting Room
Downstairs
Entrance is directly off the yard into the oldest part of the building, the flag stoned dining room. The walls are thick and white washed lime under a ceiling crossed with heavy beams. This room is divided from the sitting room by a restored Elizabethan oak panel.
The sitting room has a wood burning stove and under floor heating. A blind stone staircase curves up behind the chimney breast.

Kitchen
The large kitchen is double height, with unrivalled views (from the glass bifold doors) down across the rolling green countryside dotted with small farms. It contains a dishwasher, induction hob and a wood fired Rayburn which provides cooking, heat and hot water from wood cut from our coppices and woodland.
A utility room with microwave and washing machine leads onto a cloakroom. Outside is a small cottage garden with a private patio and pots of kitchen herbs.
